Our county seat-Luverne, Mn.

I was drafted into the US Army from this county on June 18th, 1945.
My brother, Raymond, served in Anchorage, Alaska during the Korean War.
Donald Hegeson served in the army during the Korean War.
Gary Rye and Duane Nelson at later dates and Orville Bakk also served during WW2.

The county seat of Rock County, Luverne, Mn. where I was inducted into the army on June 18th, 1945, was chosen as one of the sites from which to tell the story of World War two. Story in next blog post.
