The excitement is building! I have sent an e-mail to our friend requesting the name of her son in law. I mentioned STS-126, just to sound as if I know what I am talking about. Thanks for your responce.

My friend (Jeanne) wrote that her son in law is Don Pettit. He and his wife, Micki, have twin boys who are 7 years old. Jeanne is guessing that Don and Micki know Heidi, and possibly you, Cassia.

He he! I don’t know Don myself but it turns out yes, Don is indeed a Mission Specialist scheduled for the STS-126 mission to station next September. And I would hope he knows Heide because she is his fellow Mission Specialist for that mission!
Thanks to your grandpa, I have had the opportunity to learn about your exciting life as a student, and not the least of which includes training with astronauts, and being on a first-name basis with Mission Specialist, Heidi, and others. Impressive stuff!
