Fall in Albuquerque is the most glorious time of the year. After temperature highs of 105 during July and August, the weather mellows and the Fall activities are in full swing. Viewing the colorful foilage in the nearby Sandia mountains, attending college football games, preparing for the State Fair, at which I have won Blue Ribbons in the "Cookies" category, enjoying evenings at outdoor cafes, taking walks along the paths of the Rio Grande river, raking leaves, harvesting what's left in the garden, and finally, going to Halloween costume parties wearing something too ridiculous and scary to be seen in public.

Bernie
